My father Terence O'Leary and I in 1958. Although he died just a few years later I was old enough to remember him. He was a classic Irishman, very gregarious and had many friends. He was a fantastic salesman and I believe its why I am proud to call myself a salesman too, its inherited. I was not surprised when Peter Monk, the founder of Barrick Gold called me out of the blue one day and told me he berthed in steerage with my dad in the late 40's when they both came over from Ireland to North America. He said some very words about my dad to me.
