Title: Greenland River, 2007
I took this photo from a Sikorsky helicopter flying into the centre of Greenland in late summer. The intense sunlight causes the surface ice to melt. The blue water absorbs more heat than the white snow and massive river systems grow within hours. The contrast of the blue water against the white ice is spectacular. Its pure pristine beauty.
