I lived in Phnom Penh in 1963 with my family at the time the Vietnam war was spilling over the Cambodian border. I have a close affinity to the country as a result of those childhood memories. When my own children became old enough I took them to Cambodia to experience the place, hoping it would have the same impact on them that it had on me. The images you will find there today have not changed in 40 years. The place is still breathtaking. This boy floating on the Mekong river near Angkor Wat is trying to sell photos to tourists of his pet snake.
