The city of Paris is very proud of their trees. The citizenry considers them living art and the government measures and registers all 470,000 of them. I had just left the Musee D'orsay when my eye caught this image. It's bark reminded me of a painting I had seen just moments earlier in the museum by the impressionist painter Monet. Sometimes art imitates nature and vice versa.
